Rakesh Kumar, is a senior rehabilitation professional with over 20 years of experience in the field of special education. He has completed his B.Ed (Special Education) Bhoj University, MP. He is registered in RCI CRR as Special Educator. He is the Vice President of Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and Parents (ARPP), Joint Secretary of Indian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) Delhi Chapter and Vice Chairman of National Convention of Educators of the Deaf India (NCED) Delhi Chapter. He has been a consultant at various elite schools, NGO’s and Neuro Rehab centres. At present he is associated with UDGAM heading special education department with his team of skilled, trained and qualified special educators, provide an eclectic approach of providing integrated services in inclusive education. The core strength lies in Assessment and Early Intervention of children with special needs. The approach involves addressing the unique and individual needs of each child and accordingly device the plan of action. Children with any Behavioral, Learning, Communication and Emotional problems are addressed and intervention is provided, be it- Children with Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Downs Syndrome, Slow Learners, etc., and services are provided to help them achieve higher levels of functional competencies and help them get mainstreamed with self-sufficiency. To build school readiness and enhance positive grooming with building upon skills of reading, writing, learning, memory, behavior, attention and adaptive skills.
